Who am I ?

I am a 23 years old French engineer in telecommunications, specialized in software engineering. I’d like to work as an Android developer in a young and dynamic team. Even if I just graduated, I’ve been developing Android apps for a while now. I worked a few months for an Irish company named Irishapps for which I developed a few apps. To be honest, this was my best experience so far. I developed there many kinds of apps using promising technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy. During my last year of higher education I developed an indoor localization system using BLE again and also worked on a biometric authentication system on Android during a 6-month internship. I like to use my Android abilities to solve my daily problems thanks to apps or libraries.

But what do I like except coding? Of course, I spend a lot of time on my computer. I consider myself as a creative man. Not the kind of man to have one’s head in the clouds but the kind of mind who wants motivated by the desire to achieve. That’s why I spend a lot of time playing with Photoshop, or Adobe After effects or Sony Vegas Pro. I like to make videos of events, my holidays or my trips; I think that’s a good way to keep some good memories. I also love sport! I played football for 9 years and I’m now trying to play as often as possible. I’ve been playing volleyball for 7 years now in several teams. I’m a big fan of skiing and snowboarding so I might take a few holidays every winter to go riding! Last but not least, I love my drone! It took me a while (and some help) to build it but now it flies like a rocket! That’s a short list of how I spend my free time even if there is way more to say about my hobbies.

I’m currently looking for a job. I got multiple offers from big companies asking me to work as a consultant. That’s not really the kind of job I want. I’d like to be part of a team in a small company. I want to know all my colleagues and refer to them if I need something rather than facing multiple levels of hierarchy and get an answer weeks later. I want to be an Android developer whether it is on a single project or on multiple contracts within the same firm, I don’t mind. I want to be creative, I want to share my ideas with my colleagues and listen to theirs. I want to be useful, not just apply orders from a superior who doesn’t even know the project I’m working on.

Engineering school : ENSEIRB-MATMECA (Bordeaux, France)

The École nationale supérieure d’électronique, informatique, télécommunications, mathématique et mécanique de Bordeaux (ENSEIRB-MATMECA) is a prestigious French engineering school located in Bordeaux specialized in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics.

The standard curriculum is a three-year program resulting in the French Diplôme d'Ingénieur, considered by European universities (Bologna declaration) as a Master's degree of the European Higher Education Area. ENSEIRB-MATMECA is part of Institut Polytechnique de Bordeaux (INP Bordeaux).

I studied in the Telecommunication department and I specialized in engineering software. Four domains are taught in this department; Computer science, Computer networks, Digital Communications and Signal treament. Students apply their knowledge through many projects. These projects can last a few weeks (2-3 students) for the smallest ones, but can also last 6 months (5-8 students). The first 3 semesters cover all subjects related to telecommunications systems and offer a panel of effective courses to define a coherent professional project.

Example of projects:

Indoor localization Android App • October 2014 – January 2015

The aim of this project was to develop an app using Beacons. The app enables to get additional information when attending a conference.

The app enables to :
• Localize oneself indoor on a SVG map thanks to Blueooth Low Energy
• Interact with the map of the building
• Get notifications about the talks that are going to take place near the user's...

Set-Top-Box Multimedia • January 2014 - June 2014

Development of a Set Top Box which enables to watch videos streams coming from various inputs (HDD, DVB, TNT, Network) on every kind of devices using DASH and HLS. This box provides an adaptative streaming according to the bandwidth available and the device used.

Development of a RSS Reader on Android

Development of a debt management website

Sogeti (Pessac, France) - February 2015 to August 2015

Android apps development
• Research about biometry
• Development of a biometric authentication application on Android, based on 3D facial recognition
• Image processing (OpenCV4Android)

IrishApps (Galway, Ireland) - June 2014 to September 2014

Android apps development
• Used Bluetooth Low Energy to manage BLE sensors
• Developed an app to monitor a child phone (app in use, analytics,..)
• Created the IrishApps' app which enable to order a new app
• Developed an app to create and manage a restaurant menu
